Age of Empires 4 was announced in 2017, but since then we have learned very little about the sequence developed by Relic – but that will change very soon. We may see it in action for the first time during X019 on November 14th.
In August, Aaron Greenberg, Xbox Games marketing manager, said we would be facing the first look during the X019, but if you forgot, he made a point of provoking the subject with the gif below.
While the Xbox brand has dominated Microsoft gaming things for years, it is still strange to see this quintessential PC strategy series unveiled at an event that presents itself as a celebration of all the news of the Xbox. Other than the gameplay revelation, I wouldn't be surprised if we had a release date too or at least a launch window. We don't know if this game can be announced for the Xbox.

The first view will appear next to the release of Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition. It's a remastering approaching a remake in many areas, though the fundamentals remain pretty much the same as ever. It is a game designed for people who are already fans and should keep them all very happy.
