Chinese company TCL unveils two-fold folding phone prototype with 10-inch screen
- The prototype folds into the shape of & # 39; Z & # 39; and can be configured in many ways
- Unused, the screen measures 10 inches, ranging from the size of a phone to a tablet.
- There is no price or device name yet, according to CNET
- TCL is developing several other folding devices
Manufacturers of folding phones are starting to grow with a new device with two hinges that can fold in many different directions.
The device, prototyped by Chinese technology company TCL, has an official prototype highlighted by the gadget site, CNET.
According to the jack, the phone's multiple hinges, which form the 'Z' shape, extend to a 10 inch screen when fully open.
When collapsed, the phone folds itself to configure the book-like device with a thinner, exterior-facing display.
The device does not have a price name at present, but according to CNET, its makers, TCL, which is known for making cheap TVs, plans to turn an attack into phones with a variety of flexible designs.
Earlier this year, it was rumored that the company had at least five folding devices in operation, including two tablets, two smartphones, and one type of device that revolves around the wrist.
These concepts were portrayed in various representations obtained by CNET earlier this year.
TCL was in the early stages of developing these devices in January and it is unclear whether they will hit the market as described or if the designs will change.
The company has previously said it expects to launch a folding device by 2020.
TCL will not be without competition when it comes to folding gadgets.
Chinese technology giant TCL, which acquired the BlackBerry brand in 2016, is developing a flexible phone that can bend its wrist to become a pseudo-smartwatch.

Huawei's $ 2,400 Mate X has an official release date next month and will be among the first phones to pave the way for a new generation of folding devices.
When opened, the Mate X's screen measures 8 inches and appears closer to a tablet. While closed, the phone folds over to a more traditional-looking 6.6-inch screen.
The only other folding device currently available to consumers is Samsung's Galaxy Fold, which is slightly less expensive for $ 1,980.
Durability issues are among the top issues of all folding devices and plague Samsung Galaxy Fold.
A design flaw that made the device's screen vulnerable to dust and other particles has postponed Fold for several months this year.
