There is no time to stop. Disney continues to work on several live-action remakes of some of its most iconic animated films, and undoubtedly Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is one of them.
Now, as the Movieweb, we know when their filming will begin, as well as where it will take place – it will all start in March 2020 at an undetermined location in Vancouver, Canada. Moreover, the same rumors also speak of the casting of the project, which seems to be going on right now. Possible names have already emerged for Snow White, Prince, Queen Grimhilde, and of course the Seven Dwarfs, but they are still unknown.
In the past, there has also been talk of Marc Webb being able to direct the film, and new rumors indicate that he will be leading the remake. Moreover, the award-winning composers Oscar Benj Pasek and Justin Paul must be in charge of adapting the original soundtrack of the film.
On the other hand, Marc Platt would be the producer. In any case, we will have to wait for an official announcement from Disney for everything to be confirmed.
We don't know if it will raise more expectation than other developing remakes like Mulan or The Little Mermaid, but Snow White is one of Disney's oldest stories within those that have had – or will be – entitled to a remake.
