The values are an average calculated by the ANP with data collected at stations in several cities across the country. Prices, therefore, vary by region.
With the fall in the price of oil, Petrobrás reduced the price of diesel by 6.5% and that of gasoline by 9.5% at refineries this Friday.
The movement occurred at a time when the price of oil accumulated a sharp drop in the face of advancing coronavirus in the world and the possible impacts of the virus on global economic activity.
Oil prices have already dropped about 50% since highs played in January. On Monday, they saw the biggest daily percentage drop since 1991, with the Gulf War, after Saudi Arabia started the price war.
