Two people died after a fire in a men's club working in Morecambe.
The men were rescued from the flames at the Gordon Working Men's Club, but died shortly after.
Emergency services, including 10 fire engines, were called to the scene on Springfield Street around 2:45 pm.
The Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire occurred downstairs and firefighters entered the building with equipment, including thermal imaging cameras.
The men were removed at 3:07 pm.
Police said they were in the process of contacting the victims' families.
A previous post on the club's Facebook page said, "As many of you may have heard, there was a big fire at our facility.
"So far, we do not know the extent of the damage done, although we know that the services have done their best to minimize damage control.
"As reported, there have been some casualties, but we are not willing to provide more information at this time.
"Please respect our privacy at this time and thank you for all the support and best wishes. The Gordon club team."
An investigation into the fire has begun and police want to talk to any witnesses.
Firefighters will remain on site overnight.
