The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Sunday that the United States informed Russia that a US military convoy was attacked on Sunday by pro-Turkish militants in northeastern Syria.
"We have been informed that a convoy of US troops traveling on the M4 road towards the Iraqi border, 6 kilometers west of Tell Tamer, has been attacked by the territory controlled by pro-Turkish Syrian militants," informed the head of the Russian Center for Syrian Reconciliation, Yuri Borenkov.
According to Borenkov, no US military personnel were injured during the attack.

Earlier in the day, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) posted A video showing a convoy of US military moving toward the Iraqi border.
In October, US President Donald Trump announced that US troops had begun to withdraw from northern Syria to Iraq. In the same month, Turkey launched Operation Fountain of Peace in northeastern Syria, promising to cleanse the region of Kurdish fighters and Daesh militants.
